How we use your details

Short version: we text you about work near your postcode. That is all. Last updated 31 August 2026.

What we collect

When you sign up on this site we collect three things, because the form asks for three things:

  • Your trade — so we only send you work you can do.
  • Your postcode — so we only send you work near you.
  • Your mobile number — so we can send it.

We do not ask for your name, your date of birth, your right-to-work documents or your bank details to sign up.

Why we use it

To text you when there is work near you that matches your trade. We rely on your consent, which you give by sending the form, and you can withdraw it at any time.

How to stop the texts

Reply STOP to any text we send you. That ends the texts straight away and costs you nothing. You can also email us and ask, and we will do it for you.

Who else sees it

We never sell your number. We share your details with a company only when you have said yes to one of their jobs, and then only what they need to put you on site.

We use suppliers to run the service — to send the texts and to store the records. They act on our instructions and cannot use your details for anything of their own.

How long we keep it

While you want work from us. If you stop the texts, we delete your sign-up details within 30 days, except where we have to keep a record of work you actually did.

Cookies and how we measure the site

We want to know which pages help and which do not. Most of that we do without cookies and without anything that identifies you.

Google Analytics does set cookies. It is not loaded at all unless you press yes on the banner, and if you press no it is never loaded and no cookie is set. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which makes the banner ask again.

None of this tells us who you are, and none of it is sold or shared for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will answer within one month. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
