Labour vs budget
Groundworks is 8% over in week two. There is still time.
Piloting now with 2V Projects and MD Developments on live UK sites.
It runs a hundred seconds. The words are on the screen as well as spoken, so it works with the sound off. If you would rather not watch it at all, the same argument is written underneath.
Example figures. Yours are your own.
The way it works now: the numbers are right. They are just late. The job starts in January, it runs, it finishes in March — and March is where you find out what it actually cost.
And that is why it is expensive. You have already spent it. The labour budget is gone and the overspend is not a decision any more, it is a fact.
What is different here: one record, not two. Usually the timesheets and your accounts have to agree with each other. With VORDO, the hours a man logs on site and the cost on your project are the same record. He sees his hours. You see your cost.
So three things change. Margin: this morning, not in March — every hour, priced as it happens. Control: four sites, one screen — you stop driving over at seven to see who turned up. Trades: you ask, we place — added on top of the day rate, never taken out of it.
What it costs: you hear both numbers before the pilot starts. The platform is free through your first project, then a flat monthly figure — and you hear that figure on the first call, not once you depend on it. Trades we place are a small percentage of the day rate, only for days actually worked, and nothing at all if you never use the pool.
Two things worth saying plainly. Nothing here asks you to throw anything away. Keep your spreadsheet — if it works, it stays; this adds the join between the hours and the cost. And your data leaves with you: it exports to Xero and to a spreadsheet, and you can cancel whenever, with no notice.
If you want to look at it: bring one live project. Fifteen minutes, your own numbers, not a demo. Run it for real, then decide. If it does not earn its place, you stop — you have lost nothing.
One project. Then decide.
Three things. Everything else on this page is only how.
Not in three months, when the job is closed and the money is gone. An overrun you see in week two is a decision. The same overrun in month four is a loss.
See how ControlWho turned up, what it cost, what moved. You stop driving across town to find out what a phone call should have told you.
See how TimeThe books stop eating the weekend. The chasing stops. The hours you spend proving what happened go back into deciding what happens next.
See how“Your margin, this morning. Not in March.”
Every director has closed a job and found out too late what it really made. The number was always there — it was just spread across five spreadsheets, three WhatsApp groups and a pile of paper timesheets.
Labour lands against the budget the day it is worked, not the month it is invoiced
Materials and subcontractor cost sit on the same line as the hours
You see the job drifting while there is still something to do about it
How you find out now
Margin known at the end. Nothing left to change.
How you find out with VORDO
Example figures
Known every day. Still time to act.
“I count who turned up. You stop driving over to check.”
You know the drive. Across town at seven to see who actually turned up, then back again because a client wants an update you cannot answer from memory.

“Put your numbers in. See what you get back.”
Chasing timesheets. Driving to check. Building the report nobody reads until it is late. None of it moves a single brick — and all of it comes out of your week.
Your numbers
What you get back
That is 4.9 working days every month, or 468 hours a year, off your own week.
Our assumptions, printed so you can argue with them. Change the sliders to your own numbers — the sum is the same either way.
The invoice is built from hours already logged.
Nobody re-types a timesheet into a spreadsheet.
The time goes back into decisions, not admin.
Who is working, what it costs, and a week approved in one tap.
What the week has cost you, while there is still a week left to change it.
Example project and figures, to show the screens. Yours are your own.
You have bought an app before. It lasted a fortnight. Every system that asks a worker to do admin for the office dies on site, and they are right to ignore it.
One when they arrive, one when they leave. No forms, no photos, nothing to learn.
Their hours become proof of what they are owed. They have their own reason to tap in.
It is free for them, and it gives them proof of their own hours. That is why they keep using it.
This is why both sides matter. A project tool runs your job but cannot staff it, and has to talk your workers into using something that only helps you. VORDO gives the worker their own reason to check in. That is the part most tools leave to you.

Vladimir still runs one. VORDO is what he could not buy: six years of his own jobs, his own mistakes, and the numbers arriving while there was still time to act on them.
Hear it from himIt costs the programme. We are building a pool of trades near your sites, bricklayers first. You ask, we place. A small percentage of the day rate, only for days actually worked. It is added on top of the day rate, never taken out of it — which is why good trades stay on the platform.

Fulham, London. The system works anywhere in the UK.
We place bricklayers first, because that is what our companies are short of now. Every other trade is registered and can be placed as the pool fills.
Tell us where the site is and we place near it. Anyone in England, Scotland or Wales can register, and placement is densest where the work is.
“Try it on one job. Then decide.”
We would rather show you than sell you.
Your name, your company, your email. No card, and nobody rings you.
A job you are running now, with its budget. Five minutes.
They get a link. Two taps on site, and the hours land on the job.
Margin against budget, on your data, from the first week.
Worth it, you move to a paid plan. Not worth it, you have lost nothing.
You hear both numbers before the pilot starts, not after you depend on it.

the day rate
Only for days actually worked. No retainer, no introduction fee, nothing at all if you never use the pool.
It is added on top of the day rate, never taken out of it. The worker invoices the rate you agreed with him, in full.
How placing worksCancel whenever you like. No notice, no minimum term. Your data exports to Xero and to a spreadsheet.
Free through your first project, then a flat monthly figure per company, given on the first call, before the pilot starts. Trades we place are charged separately: a small percentage of the day rate, only for days actually worked, added on top of the day rate, never taken out of it. There is nothing at all if you never use the pool.
Checking in is two taps and it gives them proof of the hours they are owed, so they have their own reason to do it. If a project runs and your team does not adopt it, you have paid nothing and you stop.
Yes. Project costs, labour and payments export to Xero and to a spreadsheet. VORDO does not replace your accounting — it feeds it better numbers, sooner.
Yes. Subcontractor records, deductions and payment history are kept in the format your accountant and HMRC expect.
One project, one call. We load your project, your team and your rates. Your workers install an app and tap in on the first morning.
You do. It is stored in the UK, GDPR compliant, and you can export all of it at any time, including if you leave.
Across England, Scotland and Wales. Placement is densest in the cities listed above, because that is where the work and the workers are. Tell us where the site is on the first call and we will tell you plainly what we can cover.
We place today, and our pool is smaller than a national agency’s. We are early and we would rather say so than have you find out on a Monday. Bricklayers are what we place now; every other trade is registered and placed as the pool fills. If we cannot cover a gap, we say so instead of sending someone unsuitable.
Keep it if it works. What VORDO adds is the join: the hours a worker logs on site and the cost on your P&L are the same record, and when you are short we place the trade onto that same job. You are not re-keying between a scheduling tool, a timesheet and a labour agency.
